12-match suspension! Real Madrid could lose two key players
Real Madrid's victory over Valencia has been overshadowed by a major scandal that could cost the club two of its biggest stars.
Details: According to journalist Nacho Sanchis, Jude Bellingham and Antonio Rüdiger allegedly attacked security guards during a heated confrontation at halftime of the November 7 match against Valencia. The trouble began when Valencia players and coaching staff protested to the referee over the decision preceding Federico Valverde's opening goal. The situation escalated so dramatically that stadium security and police officers had to intervene.
Sanchis claims that Bellingham struck one security guard, while Rüdiger slapped another. According to MARCA, Valencia possess video footage allegedly showing the German defender hitting a member of the stadium's security staff.
The journalist also reported that security personnel informed the referee about both incidents. However, the published official match report mentions only a confrontation involving Valencia sporting director Braulio Vázquez and does not document the alleged attacks by Real Madrid players.
If the allegations are proven and disciplinary proceedings follow, the two footballers could reportedly face suspensions ranging from four to twelve matches. No such punishment has been officially announced.
It's worth noting that Real Madrid defeated Valencia 3-0, with Federico Valverde, Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé scoring the goals.
