The future of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool remains uncertain, sparking speculation in Italy about a possible return of the former Roma star.

Details: According to La Repubblica, Roma's management is considering bringing the Egyptian forward back to the Italian capital on a six-month loan deal.

It is worth recalling that Salah, currently representing Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, left Liverpool with several unresolved issues. The 33-year-old striker had previously gone public with his dissatisfaction regarding head coach Arne Slot's decisions and the overall situation at the club.

The idea of Salah returning to Roma, where he played from 2015 to 2017, is seen more as a dream in Italy. The main stumbling block is his enormous salary, reportedly around £400,000 per week. Such financial terms are within reach only for Saudi Arabian clubs, while for Roma, even a significant pay cut would make the deal extremely difficult.

Additionally, Roma are considering more realistic and affordable options to strengthen their attack—with Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United and Giacomo Raspadori from Napoli among the names mentioned.

This season, Salah has played twenty matches for Liverpool in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing four assists. Transfermarkt values Salah at €30 million.

Reminder: Former Liverpool player Andy Carroll could face up to 5 years in prison for violating a restraining order.
