On Sunday, June 15, the Formula 1 race took place in Canada, where George Russell of Mercedes clinched first place. However, the Red Bull team decided to lodge a protest.

Details: Several protests were submitted at once, one of which concerned a possible safety car distance violation—allegedly, Russell failed to maintain the required gap of no more than ten car lengths behind the safety car. After a lengthy review of the incident, the FIA ultimately decided not to penalize the Mercedes driver.

As a result, he retained his first place and secured his fourth career victory, as well as his first of the current season. Additionally, Kimi Antonelli celebrated his maiden podium finish, taking third place at the Canadian Grand Prix.

The next round will be held in Austria from June 27 to 29, marking the eleventh stage of the current season.

Reminder: Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris collided with each other on lap 66 after Norris attempted an aggressive overtake.
