Cameroon Cup: Panthere FC secure their place in the semi-finals

The competition’s reigning champions secured victory after a thrilling clash against the two-time defending champions of the Cameroonian league.

The clash between Panthere FC and Colombe Sportive lived up to all expectations at the Japoma Annex Stadium on Saturday 8 August in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Cameroon Cup. The two Elite One clubs fought a fierce battle.

Panthere FC, the reigning Cameroon Cup champions, showed great determination against Colombe Sportive, the two-time defending champions of Elite One, Cameroon’s professional league. The two clubs were unable to break the deadlock by the end of normal time.

Each side scored a goal, leaving the score tied at 1–1. Panthere FC and Colombe Sportive had to go to a penalty shoot-out. In this tense shootout, Panthere FC emerged victorious. They converted 10 penalties, compared to Colombe’s 9.

Thanks to this victory, Panthere FC have qualified for the semi-finals of the 2026 Cameroon Cup.
