The Algerian midfielder was named Woman of the Match following the Fennecs’ victory over the Elephants in the quarter-finals on 8 August in Casablanca.

The Algerian women’s team put in a solid performance against Ivory Coast on Saturday in the quarter-finals of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations, held in Morocco. Trailing at half-time, the Algerians fought back to turn the match around.

Algeria emerged victorious at the final whistle with a 2–1 scoreline. The Algerians’ victory was partly down to Amira Ould Braham. The 28-year-old midfielder played a crucial role in the Fennecs’ success.

She scored the winning goal in the 64th minute, following Ines Khiri’s equaliser in the 58th minute to make it 1–1. In recognition of this performance, Amira Ould Braham was named Woman of the Match.
