Yoane Wissa leads Newcastle to victory over Valencia

The Democratic Republic of the Congo international striker turned the match around to secure victory for the Magpies.

Yoane Wissa was once again in the spotlight on Saturday 8 August during the Naranja Trophy match between Valencia and Newcastle United. The Congolese striker was on fire at Mestalla.

With his team trailing 1-0 and struggling to find a way through since the first half, Yoane Wissa turned the game on its head in a matter of minutes. Coming on in the 45th minute, the Congolese international made a big impact against Valencia. He scored a brace to secure victory for Newcastle United.

Yoane Wissa first equalised for the Magpies in the 67th minute, making it 1-1. He then put Newcastle United ahead against Valencia in the 73rd minute, making it 2-1.

In just five minutes, the Congolese striker turned the game on its head at Mestalla, much to the delight of Newcastle United, who ran out 2-1 winners at the final whistle of this Naranja Trophy match.
