Details: According to the reputable outlet The Athletic, the 34-year-old former attacking midfielder for London’s Arsenal—currently playing for Totton—has been sentenced to four years in prison for large-scale cannabis smuggling valued at £600,000.

The Chelmsford Crown Court took into account the player’s sincere confession, slightly reducing his sentence.
In 2024, Emmanuel-Thomas was detained at the airport along with his girlfriend. They were found to be in possession of 60 kilograms of cannabis.
It is believed that Thomas acted as an intermediary between suppliers in Thailand and drug traffickers in the UK.
The footballer is a product of Arsenal's academy and, throughout his career, Emmanuel-Thomas played for clubs such as Arsenal, Blackpool, Doncaster, Cardiff, Ipswich, Bristol City, MK Dons, QPR, Livingston, and Aberdeen.
