The fan will not be able to attend Manchester United matches for three years.

Details: According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United has blacklisted a supporter for three years after he posted a homophobic comment aimed at London club Chelsea on social media.

The official reason for the sanction states that the fan violated the club’s ground regulations.

Reports indicate the incident stemmed from a comment in which the supporter referred to Chelsea players as “rent boys”—a term widely recognized in England as a hateful slur.

The fan was also accused of calling Diogo Dalot “gay” during a recent Manchester United match, which led to attempts to eject him from the stadium.

The ban applies to both home and away fixtures.

A Manchester United spokesperson said:

“Manchester United has zero tolerance for discriminatory language or behaviour of any kind.”

The fan is expected to have the opportunity to appeal the ban.
