Wolverhampton are set to make an official approach today for Middlesbrough manager Rob Edwards.
Details: According to The Telegraph, Wolves' hierarchy intend to formally request the appointment of Rob Edwards, who is currently in charge of Middlesbrough. Edwards, a former Wolves player and academy staff member, is the frontrunner to replace Vitor Pereira.

The Wolves board, including executive chairman Jeff Shi, rate Edwards highly and hope his long-standing ties with the club will convince him to make the move.
At the same time, Middlesbrough are reluctant to part ways with the coach who has guided them to third place in the Championship.
Edwards himself addressed rumours about a potential switch after Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Leicester:
"Nothing has changed. As I’ve said before, my wife and daughter keep an eye on all that, but I’m focused solely on my job at Middlesbrough. I’m pleased with how the team is performing and I’m fully committed to my duties."
Wolverhampton are the only side in the division yet to record a win this season.
Recall: Rui Vitória was initially considered for the Wolves head coach position.
