Following the dismissal of Roma's head coach Daniele De Rossi, the club’s management, particularly CEO Lina Souloukou, faced heavy criticism from both fans and players, ultimately leading to her resignation.

Details: After De Rossi's firing, Souloukou received threats, prompting the assignment of security personnel for her protection. Although she didn't have full control over the decision, the situation became more complicated as her young children, aged 3 and 8, were also affected.

Roma officially announced Souloukou's resignation on their website, though no further details were provided. The club merely stated that the ownership remains "focused on the growth and success of the team."

Quote: "We thank Lina [Souloukou] for her dedication during a particularly important phase for the Club and wish her all the best in her future professional endeavors.

The owners remain fully committed to the growth and success of Roma, with continued emphasis on the values that make our team so special."

Reminder: Since the beginning of the Serie A season, Roma has accumulated just three points and currently sits in 17th place in the league table. This poor performance led to the decision to part ways with Daniele De Rossi, with Ivan Jurić appointed as his replacement.

Roma is set to host Udinese today, and next week they will kick off their Europa League campaign against Athletic Bilbao.
