FIFA faces a tough decision ahead.

Infantino insists that FIFA is hoping for and wants to see Iran at the World Cup, as the organization simply has no other alternatives:
"We want Iran to participate in the World Cup — there is no alternative plan," Infantino stated.
From this response, it's clear that FIFA has no intention of making concessions to the Iranian team or moving matches from the USA to Mexico, as the Iranian side had previously demanded.
At present, Iran’s Ministry of Sport has officially banned its national football team from traveling to the USA, citing potential threats to their health and safety.
At the World Cup, Iran is scheduled to face Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand.
