"Times have changed": Van Nistelrooy says Ferguson's methods are outdated

Former Manchester United forward and now Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, who experienced Sir Alex Ferguson's infamous boot-throwing and "hairdryer treatment," claims that even in moments of frustration, he does not resort to such measures.
Details: Recent press reports suggested that Van Nistelrooy lost his temper with Facundo Buonanotte after a defeat. However, the Leicester manager clarified that everything was handled respectfully.
Quote: “Every week I’ve been here, I’ve raised my voice at players a couple of times. There’s nothing new in that. Between individuals, between a manager and a player, there’s huge respect. First and foremost, we are all human beings. But it’s my job to hold players accountable.
We’re in 2025, not 2000. Times have changed, but that doesn’t mean you can’t hold players accountable in a certain way. That’s my job,” Van Nistelrooy said during his pre-match press conference.
Reminder: In a similar outburst, Van Nistelrooy’s successor at Manchester United, Rúben Amorim, recently yelled at his players and smashed a television in the dressing room.
