Palhinha has caught the attention of the Lisbon Eagles.
Details: According to renowned and respected journalist and insider Ekrem Konur on his social media page X, Benfica have ramped up efforts to bring João Palhinha back to Portugal. The Lisbon club has already prepared an offer for Bayern and hopes to wrap up negotiations in the coming weeks.
Reports suggest the German giants have been presented with two options. The first is a permanent transfer worth €25 million—€20 million guaranteed plus another €5 million in bonuses, depending on various conditions.
If that doesn't suit Munich, Benfica are open to discussing a loan deal. In this scenario, the Portuguese club is offering €10 million for the season, along with a €15 million buyout clause. To sweeten the deal, Bayern could retain part of the salary obligations for the midfielder.
Palhinha's contract with the German club runs until 2028, with his annual salary estimated at around €9.5 million. Despite the lengthy agreement, the midfielder's future in Munich remains uncertain—something Benfica are eager to capitalize on.
