The longest-running love story of the transfer market is not over yet: Borussia Dortmund are discussing bringing Jadon Sancho home for a third time.

Details: Dortmund are internally discussing a sensational return for the 26 year old, who has been a free agent since his Manchester United contract expired on July 1. Crucially, Sancho is ready to significantly lower his wage demands to make the reunion happen, having earned around €15 million a year at Old Trafford, far beyond what BVB could offer.

Sancho remains Dortmund royalty: 158 appearances across two spells, and the 2021 sale to United for £73 million remains a club record. His five years in England, though, ended in a whimper, with loans at Chelsea and Aston Villa where he managed just one goal and three assists last season. Coach Niko Kovac is open to the return but has set a clear condition: discipline. The competition is real, with Fiorentina, Roma and a lucrative offer from Qatar's Al-Rayyan all in the mix, while reports in South America even link Palmeiras. Sancho prefers to stay in Europe and abroad from England, and a cut-price deal in the region of €7 million a year could finally get this saga over the line.

It's worth noting that Dortmund legend Marco Reus has already given his blessing, saying a return would be good for both Sancho and the club.

Reminder: Big return! Borussia Dortmund ready to bring Jadon Sancho back.
