The Los Angeles Lakers intend to keep the legendary LeBron James in their lineup.

According to ESPN insider Dave McMenamin, the California club plans to offer their leader a three-year contract.

It is expected that under the new agreement, the 39-year-old legend will be able to earn tentatively up to 160 million dollars.

The deadline for James to agree to his contract is June 29. Previous rumors indicated that James was planning to opt out.

LeBron James has been playing for the Lakers since 2018. He is the most productive basketball player in the history of the NBA.

It is worth recalling that the Los Angeles Lakers finally decided on the name of the new head coach of the team. However, his name surprised everyone. Lakers will be coached by 39-year-old JJ Redick.
