Spanish goalkeeper David Raya will continue playing for Arsenal next season.
The London club officially announced that they have activated the buyout option for Raya, whose rights belonged to Brentford. According to Fabrizio Romano, the transfer fee is £27 million.
Raya's contract with Arsenal is valid until the summer of 2029.
It is worth recalling that Raya moved to Arsenal on loan last season and won the competition against Aaron Ramsdale. In the Premier League, Raya played 32 matches and kept 16 clean sheets.
In the Spanish national team, Raya went to Euro 2024 as the backup for Unai Simón. However, the 28-year-old goalkeeper played in the group stage match against Albania (1-0).
