Stewards brutally kicked a fan during a Euro 2024 match. The police have launched an investigation

During the Euro 2024 match between Portugal and Slovenia on July 1, stewards at the Deutsche Bank Park stadium in Frankfurt beat a fan of one of the teams. This incident was caught on camera by other fans who were watching the situation from the stands.

The video shows that one of the fans was near the entrance to the area under the stands. At that time, at least eight stewards in yellow and orange uniforms were beating him up. After the man was on the ground, some of the stewards continued to beat, including kicking him.

There is no context at this point as to what happened prior to the shooting. It's also unknown which team's fan we're talking about. Social media is saying that the video shows a Portugal fan, but there is no confirmation of this information yet.

German police have confirmed that they are investigating the incident, informs The Athletic.
