UEFA Futsal Champions League main round groups are set. Who will face with the reigning winners?


Today, 4 July, the draw for the preliminary and main stages of the Futsal Champions League took place at UEFA Headquarters.
The tournament starts with the preliminary stage matches, which will take place from 20 to 25 August. As a result of the draw, the following groups were determined (the hosts of the quartets are highlighted in bold):
- Group A: Titograd (Montenegro), Blue Magic (Ireland), Forsa (Macedonia), Rangers (Andorra)
- Group B: Minerva (Switzerland), Amigo (Bulgaria), Fiorentino (San Marino), Pro Futsal Cumru (Wales).
- Group C: Akaa (Finland), Tirana (Albania), Weilimdorf (Germany), Ishburnin (Iceland)
- Group D: Tigers (Netherlands). Yerevan (Armenia), Manchester (England), Istanbul Şişli (Turkey)
- Group E: Catania (Italy), Hjørring (Denmark), Utleyra (Norway), Europa (Gibraltar)
- Group F: Diamant Linz (Austria), Limassol (Cyprus), AEK (Greece), Aberdeen (Scotland).
- Group G: Shiroki Breg (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Georgians (Georgia), Clic (Moldova), Maccabi Netanya (Israel)
- Group H: Araz (Azerbaijan), Udevalla (Sweden), Sillamae (Estonia), Sparta (Northern Ireland)
Meanwhile, the main stage is divided into two pathways, A and B. Path A will be followed by the top 11 teams according to the UEFA rankings, as well as the teams ranked 16th to 19th and the reigning tournament winner, Palma Futsal from Spain.
However, the full list of participants in the main stage will be determined at the end of August, as the eight winners of the preliminary stage groups will play in path B, in addition to the teams ranked 12-15 and 20-23 in the UEFA rankings.
Main stage, path A (hosts in bold):
- Group 1: Cartagena (Spain), Anderlecht (Belgium), HIT (Ukraine), Record (Poland)
- Group 2: Braga (Portugal), Olmissum (Croatia), Plzen (Czech Republic), Pristina (Kosovo)
- Group 3: Palma (Spain), Dobovec (Slovenia), Dinamo (Croatia), United Galati (Romania).
- Group 4: Sporting Lisbon (Portugal), Kairat (Kazakhstan), Haladas (Hungary), Semey (Kazakhstan)
Main stage, path B (hosts in bold):
- Group 5: Etoile (France), Stalitsa (Belarus), winner of Group B, winner of Group H
- Group 6: Riga (Latvia), Banica (Serbia), winner of Group D, winner of Group A
- Group 7: Luxol (Malta), Lucenec (Slovakia), winner of Group G, winner of Group C
- Group 8: Kauno Zalgiris (Lithuania), Differdange (Luxembourg), winner of Group E, winner of Group F
The matches of the main stage will take place from 22 to 27 October. The top three teams from groups 1-4 of the main round, as well as the winners of groups 5-8, will qualify for the elite round, which will be drawn on 31 October.
