Djokovic is not at his best but succeeded in making it to the third round of Wimbledon 2024
The legendary Novak Djokovic continues his campaign at Wimbledon 2024.
In the second round of the tournament, the 37-year-old Serbian triumphed over the Briton Jacob Fearnley, who ranks in the third hundred of the world rankings, in four sets.
In the first two sets, Djokovic capitalized on two break points, securing victories of 6-3 and 6-4. However, in the third set, Djokovic's injury, which had nearly prevented his participation at Wimbledon, began to take its toll. At a crucial moment, Djokovic lost a service game, and Fearnley claimed the set 7-5.
The decisive set proved challenging for Djokovic, but at 5-5, he secured a break point and clinched the set 7-5.
It is noteworthy that Fearnley made his Grand Slam debut in this match, having never previously competed against top-10 ATP-ranked players.
