Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé continues to rewrite the history of the Spanish championship. In the 20th round of La Liga against Levante, the Frenchman opened the scoring in the 58th minute, confidently converting a penalty. This goal marked Mbappé's 50th in La Liga.
Details: According to Opta, it took the forward just 53 matches to reach this milestone, making him the second player of the 21st century to hit 50 goals in the fewest games.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo reached 50 goals faster than Mbappé, hitting the mark in just 51 matches back in 2011.
As of the 80th minute, Real are cruising past their opponent with a 2-0 lead. The second goal was netted by Madrid’s centre-back Raúl Asensio.
