Details: The England captain stressed that negotiations with the Munich club's management have entered the final straight. According to the winner of the recent 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony, constructive meetings over the weekend and throughout today finally resolved the last sticking points in the terms of the renewed agreement.

The British goalscorer himself commented on the imminent conclusion of the long-awaited deal:
