I would be impossible to stop! Ballon d'Or winner Harry Kane reveals what he wants from Lionel Messi
Harry Kane has just won the Ballon d'Or, but even the world's newly crowned best player believes he is missing something! The Bayern Munich superstar has revealed the one quality he would love to borrow from Lionel Messi, admitting that it could make him almost impossible for defenders to stop.
Details: Speaking to French newspaper L'Équipe, Kane was asked which ability from another Ballon d'Or winner he would like to possess. The England captain immediately chose Messi's famous left foot. With a smile, he suggested that combining the Argentine's exceptional technique with his own finishing ability would make him an even more dangerous striker.
The 33-year-old also reflected on his current level. Kane believes he has never been more complete as a footballer, both physically and mentally. His understanding of space, movement inside the penalty area and ability to create scoring opportunities have continued to improve throughout his career.
However, the Bayern striker acknowledged that he is not the type of player who dribbles past numerous opponents before scoring. Instead, he relies on intelligent positioning, clinical finishing and an ability to influence matches in different ways.
Kane's comments come shortly after his historic Ballon d'Or triumph on October 26. He became the first Englishman to receive the award since Michael Owen in 2001. Despite reaching the summit of individual football, the Bayern forward insists he will continue improving until the day he retires.
Reminder: Harry Kane recently won the 2026 Ballon d'Or, becoming the first English winner since 2001.
