It is reported that Pumas demands compensation for damages for non-compliance with the contract terms, amounting to €5 million. The Mexicans terminated Alves' contract in January 2023 when news of his arrest on rape charges emerged.
According to uol.com.br, Pumas sent Alves an email notifying him of the contract termination and demanding compensation. It is noted that the trial against the Brazilian is scheduled for March 25, 2025.
Recall that Dani Alves was convicted of rape and sentenced to 4.5 years in prison. The verdict was handed down in February 2024. Although the Brazilian managed to post bail and get out of prison, the case is still ongoing.
Additionally, throughout his career, Alves has played for Sevilla, Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, and other clubs. He has 44 trophies to his name.
