The Portuguese coach replaces another compatriot.
Details: Today, Benfica Lisbon officially announced on their website and via social network X that José Mourinho is no longer the team's head coach, and he has been succeeded by 48-year-old Marco Silva.
It is reported that Silva’s contract with Benfica is set for two seasons, with an option to extend for another year.

Previously, Marco Silva had been in charge of Fulham since 2021. During his tenure with the Cottagers, he managed 229 matches, achieving 104 wins, 42 draws, and overseeing 83 assists.
In the last season, Fulham finished 11th in the Premier League and failed to qualify for European competitions for the next campaign, which became one of the reasons for Silva's departure from the club.
