Here we go! Newcastle sign one of Europe's most promising goalkeepers

Details: Newcastle are on the verge of completing yet another summer signing. According to renowned and reliable journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, the English club has reached a full agreement with Braga for the transfer of Czech goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek.

To finalize the deal, the Magpies have triggered the release clause in the keeper’s contract, worth £25 million. In addition, both clubs have agreed on the payment structure, and the player himself has settled all personal terms with Newcastle.

The 24-year-old Czech goalkeeper will officially join Newcastle in the coming days and become the team’s newest addition. The club’s management views Hornicek as a key reinforcement between the posts ahead of the new season.

All that remains is to complete the final formalities, after which Newcastle will officially announce the signing of one of the Czech Republic’s most promising goalkeepers.

Lukas Hornicek’s transfer value is estimated at €18 million by Transfermarkt.
