Milan and Inter could fall under external administration. Still, it's not about finances

Usually, clubs fall under external management if they have serious financial problems that the current owners are unable to overcome. However, two of Milan's biggest clubs are ripe for this, far from financial problems.
As reported by La Repubblica, such a measure may be resorted to if the management of Inter and Milan do not prove the fact that there are no links with the Milan mafia, which are probably in the ranks of the clubs' ultras. This conclusion was reached by the prosecutor's office, pointing to several facts.
For example, one of the arrested ultras, namely Marco Fedrico, pressurised Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi on the eve of the 2023 Champions League final to get the Nerazzurri boss to give him as many tickets to the match as possible.

There are facts against Milan as well. For instance, Rossoneri captain Davide Calabria reportedly met Luca Lucci, one of the team's leading ultras, who soon also went into custody.
The Milan prosecutor has started the relevant procedure with two consultants to make sure that the clubs cut ties with the mafia in the form of ultras, otherwise both clubs could land under external administration until the problem is resolved.
