An Italian grenadier for the Gunners! Arsenal preparing a move for Inter striker

The London club has begun its recruitment work well in advance as it searches for a powerful forward to bolster its attacking line.

Details: Arsenal are showing concrete interest in 21-year-old Inter Milan and Italy striker Pio Esposito. The news was reported by respected British journalist Graeme Bailey.

The young forward has been added to the Gunners’ list of priority transfer targets with a view to 2027. The London club’s recruitment department has been impressed by the player’s physical presence, aggressive pressing and composure in the opposition penalty area, viewing the Italian as an ideal candidate for the classic No. 9 role.

Inter’s management value their academy graduate highly and have no desire to part with such a promising asset. Nevertheless, the financial power of the Premier League giants could play a key role in future negotiations.

It is worth noting that Pio Esposito came through Inter’s youth system, enjoyed a productive spell with Spezia, and won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship as well as a silver medal at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, having already made his senior debut for Italy.
