The South Korean national team has commenced the search for a new head coach following the resignation of Jürgen Klinsmann. According to the Daily Mirror, the renowned English coach Steve Bruce is being considered as Klinsmann's potential successor.

The 63-year-old Englishman has expressed interest in working with South Korea, and preliminary discussions have already taken place. However, Bruce is also drawing attention from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

During his playing career, Steve Bruce spent 9 years with Manchester United, becoming a legend for the club. As a coach, he is well-known for his stints with Newcastle, West Bromwich, Hull City, Birmingham, Aston Villa, Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Wigan, and Sheffield United.

As a reminder, South Korea was eliminated in the semi-finals of the 2023 Asian Cup, losing to Jordan (0-2).

The South Korean national team will play its next match on March 21 against Thailand in the qualification for the 2026 World Cup. After securing victories in the first two matches against China and Singapore, the Koreans currently lead their group.
