Aston Villa hosted Chelsea in Birmingham for the 35th matchday of the Premier League.

The teams went into halftime with Villa leading by two goals. Early in the match, Kukurelja inadvertently redirected the ball into his own net. Ten minutes later, Jackson appeared to score, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review. Just before halftime, Rogers doubled Villa's advantage with a goal assisted by Emery.

An hour into the game, Madueke brought Chelsea back into contention, assisted by Gallagher. Twenty minutes later, Madueke turned provider for Conor, who salvaged a draw for Chelsea, leveling the score at 2:2.

And then the "Pensioners" could have even snatched victory. Disasi struck the hosts' goalkeeper in stoppage time, but his goal, like Jackson's in the first half, was not counted.

Aston Villa remained in fourth place with 67 points, staying ahead of Tottenham by 7 points. However, "Spurs" have played three fewer matches. Chelsea sits in ninth place.
