Lehlohonolo Seema says the 11-goal thriller Siwelele FC and Mamelodi Sundowns displayed last night was good for the supporters
Lehlohonolo Seema admitted the 11-goal thrilling match his Siwelele FC and Mamelodi Sundowns dished out was good for supporters and not for the coaches.
Seema said the 7-4 drubbing his side received from Betway Premiership defending champions and title chasers in Sundowns was not pleasant for him as a gaffer.
“It was a good game for the supporters to watch, but for us coaches it's not that good, it's not the kind of game you want to see your team conceding a lot of goals. We analysed the goals we conceded in the first half, and the guys raised their hands in the second half,” said Seema after the game at Lucas Moripe Stadium last night.
"There was not much that you can say, Sundowns weren't dominating us except when they played balls behind us and that is how we got hurt in the first half."
This defeat has put back their ambitions of qualifying for the top eight but the former Sekhukhune United coach said they still believe they can make it.
They are on the ninth place with 33 points, four behind Golden Arrows, who are on the eighth spot.
"It would mean a lot for sure. I wasn't even going to talk about the top eight before we crossed the magic number which is 30 points, now we are on 33. We can smell blood and we will push for a place in the top eight," he added.
