Brayan Leon scores a hat-trick for Mamelodi Sundowns in a 11-goal PSL thriller at Lucas Moripe Stadium
Brayan Leon has broken his silence after netting his maiden hat-trick for Mamelodi Sundowns today as they thumped Siwelele FC 7-4.
Leon joined Sundowns in the January transfer window and he has been nothing short of impressive in front of goals.
The Columbian striker was lethal again at Lucas Moripe Stadium as the Betway Premiership defending champions registered a convincing win against Siwelele FC.
Teboho Mokoena scored also, a Nyiko Mobbie own goal and a Tashreeq Matthews brace completed the Siwelele FC annihilation as the Pretoria West venue.
Ghampani Lungu also scored a hat-trick for Siwelele FC with Relebogile Mokhuoane scoring the other goal for the visitors.
This win sees Sundowns stretch their lead atop of the PSL standings to six points ahead of second placed Orlando Pirates.
“We wanted to score a lot more goals, we missed a lot, we made some mistakes at the back but important was the win, the three points to put pressure on the other team and wait for them, prepare for the next game,” said Leon.
“We need to go with the same mentality of course, to win the game and score more goals if it’s possible.”
Sundowns play their last game of the season against TS Galaxy n Tuesday night.
