The clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Siwelele has etched its name in the annals of South African Premiership history. Cardoso's men triumphed with a 7-4 victory, marking the highest-scoring game ever recorded in the tournament.
The two sides combined for an astonishing 11 goals, setting a brand-new Betway Premiership record. The previous benchmark had stood since December 2012, when Platinum Stars defeated Golden Arrows 6-4.
It's also worth highlighting that this is the first time since 1999 that Mamelodi have scored five goals in the first half of a league match.
At this stage, Sundowns sit six points clear of Orlando Pirates, though Waddo's side have played two games fewer.
