The legendary Portuguese star has shared some valuable health tips.
Details: In a recent interview, 41-year-old Al-Nassr and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo unveiled the secret behind his phenomenal physical condition, which allows him to keep playing football at the highest level and breaking new records.
According to Ronaldo, a crucial element of a healthy body is exposure to cold:
"My wife (Georgina) tells me: 'Our kids will catch a cold if they walk around barefoot.' In fact, it's quite the opposite… The body needs discomfort to become stronger.
For many years, cold has been an integral part of my daily routine. I use cryotherapy, cold showers, and hyperbaric chambers. All of this trains both my body and my mind for peak performance. I don't just play football; I take care of myself like an elite athlete. I sleep well—over seven hours every night—I stay active all day, and above all, I am consistent. That's why at 40 years old, my physiological age, according to Whoop, is 28.9. This isn't luck. It's daily hard work.
Of course, I also treat myself. I've eaten hamburgers, stayed up until 2 a.m. watching a UFC fight, and had poor sleep. But that’s only 5% of my life. The other 95% is discipline, routine, and recovery. People think being in shape means living in constant obsession, but that's not true. It's about finding a balance between enjoying life and taking care of yourself. And if you ask me what the secret is, I always say the same thing: there is no secret. You just have to be consistent when others aren't. That's what really makes the difference." Ronaldo said.
This season, Ronaldo has played 27 matches for Al-Nassr, scoring 24 goals and providing 4 assists.
Currently, Ronaldo is chasing the milestone of 1,000 career goals. He recently netted a brace against Al-Najma, bringing his tally to 967 goals.
