Saudi giants Al-Nassr have found themselves at the heart of a major financial scandal. The Financial Oversight Committee has placed the club under strict supervision, a move that could result in severe sanctions, reports Goal.com.
According to the published information, Al-Nassr must now receive prior approval for any transfers or contract signings involving players or coaches if the deal exceeds 500,000 riyals. This restriction directly impacts the club's transfer strategy.
Legal advisor Ahmed Al-Sheikhi emphasized that such measures are exceptional and reflect serious concerns from the regulator regarding the club's financial operations.
If Al-Nassr violates these requirements, the club could face harsh penalties — ranging from points deductions to relegation. This presents a genuine threat to the team's ambitions, especially with Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks.
