Getafe will capitalise on Greenwood's move from Man United to Marseille. Several times over

Unexpected but true: despite the fact that Mason Greenwood did not belong to Getafe but played for them on loan from Manchester United, the striker's move to Marseille will somewhat enrich the Spanish club.
All because of the terms of the rental agreement that the clubs signed last year, which was revealed by The Athletic. It is reported that Getafe will receive 20 per cent of the amount for which Manchester United will sell Greenwood after the loan (in the case of a transfer to Marseille, that amount is £5.34 million). But that's not all.
The clause also applies to all future earnings of the Red Devils on the 22-year-old striker. This clause has been offered by Getafe.
Since already in the agreement between Manchester United and Marseille a percentage of the transfer fee for the Mancunians is spelt out, one-fifth of that percentage will be received by Getafe in the event of a subsequent sale of the striker by the French club.
