FIFA updates national team rankings: Changes shake up the top 10

FIFA has unveiled the latest update to its national football team rankings, and there have been some notable shifts at the top.
Details: Following the November international fixtures, FIFA has released an updated ranking, and the top ten has seen some reshuffling. Spain remains at the summit with 1877.17 points. Argentina holds on to second place, while France completes the top three.
Brazil has climbed to fifth, overtaking Portugal and the Netherlands, both of whom have dropped one spot. Germany has moved up one position to ninth, while Croatia has broken into the top 10, pushing Italy out of the elite group.

The biggest movers after the November internationals are Uzbekistan, the Philippines, and Turkmenistan, each climbing five places in the standings. On the flip side, El Salvador and India suffered the steepest drops, each slipping six spots.
The next ranking update is expected after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup qualification play-off matches.
