The Moroccan side comfortably beat the Malian side 6-0 on Thursday 5 November, on Matchday 2 of Group B of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

AS FAR wasted no time in taking control of the match, played at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia. Nouhaila Benzina opened the scoring in the 6th minute, before Doha El Madani doubled the lead two minutes later.

AS FAR continued their dominant display in the first half thanks to Imane Touriss, who scored the third goal in the 24th minute, followed by the fourth just before half-time (44th minute). After the break, Fatima Tagnaout (62nd minute) and Nadia Lftah (72nd minute) added to the tally, extending the Moroccan lead to six goals.

Following their surprise defeat to Kawempe Muslim Ladies (3-2) on the opening day, the defending champions have thus returned to winning ways and are back in the running for a place in the semi-finals. USFAS Bamako, however, suffered a second consecutive defeat and now find themselves in a difficult position in Group B.
