CAF Women’s Champions League: kick-off times and venue for Matchday 1 in Group B

The group stage of the CAF Women’s Champions League continues in Egypt. Following the kick-off on Sunday 1 November, which saw two draws in Group A, it is now time for Matchday 1 in Group B.

Defending champions AS FAR enter the fray this Monday, 2 November. The Moroccan side will face Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies at 12 pm GMT at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia.

As they look to defend their title, the Moroccan side will be aiming to get their campaign off to a flying start, drawing on their experience. Their opponents, Kawempe Muslim Ladies, are competing in their very first CAF Women’s Champions League, but the Ugandans have what it takes to shake up the pecking order.

The second fixture will see USFAS Bamako take on Ampem Darkoa Ladies at 3 pm GMT at the same stadium. Both the Malian and Ghanaian sides are familiar with the competition, and this West African derby promises to be a decisive fixture on this opening day.
