The Miami heat might play a decisive role in the World Cup semifinal race.

Details: According to the Daily Mail, the quarter-final between England and Norway could be delayed due to extreme weather conditions. At kick-off, temperatures in Miami are expected to range from 29 to 32°C, but the humidity could push the real-feel temperature as high as 44°C.

The decisive factor will be the WBGT index readings, which take into account not only air temperature, but also humidity, solar radiation, and wind speed.

According to FIFPRO guidelines, if the WBGT value exceeds 28°C—or if the standard air temperature goes above 36°C—the match should be delayed or postponed until conditions improve. FIFA, however, sets a higher threshold: if the WBGT rises above 32°C, mandatory cooling breaks are enforced and organizers can decide to suspend or postpone the fixture.

The final decision will be made after on-site measurements are taken at the stadium right before kick-off.

Reminder: Worrying news for Tuchel. England's captain may miss Norway clash due to infection.
