Meanwhile, former footballer Samir Nasri was recently detained as part of a money laundering investigation linked to an organised criminal group involved in illegal drug trafficking. Nasri spent around ten hours in custody and was questioned by investigators before being released on Thursday, 9 July.
Reminder: One of England's players was sent off in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup but, instead of receiving a one-match suspension, was handed a two-match ban.
