Bayern tries to steal Barcelona's superstar! Transfer of the summer?

Jules Koundé has found himself at the heart of a sensational new transfer saga.

Details: According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, Bayern Munich are interested in signing Barcelona defender Jules Koundé. The Munich giants have been tracking the Frenchman for several years and rate his abilities very highly.

However, at this stage, Bayern cannot move into the active phase of negotiations. The German club first needs to offload several players and free up space in the squad.

The right-back position remains especially crowded: Sacha Boey is still with the team, and if needed, Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanišić can also fill in there. That’s why Bayern’s interest in Koundé has yet to turn into concrete talks.

The situation could change, though, if Bayern manage to complete the necessary sales. Koundé is able to cover both right-back and center-back positions, making the Frenchman a highly attractive option for the Munich club.
