Manchester United are once again shopping on the Brazilian market.
Details: According to Globo Esporte, Manchester United are interested in signing Wolverhampton central midfielder Joao Gomes. Representatives of the English giants have already made contact after the player's transfer to Atletico collapsed.
The Brazilian midfielder had already been on Manchester United's radar back in the winter, but a change of head coach put the potential deal on hold. At the end of last season, the club revisited the idea of signing Gomes, but at that point his move to Atletico seemed all but done.
After talks with the Madrid side broke down, Liverpool also expressed interest in the 25-year-old midfielder. It will be tough for Wolverhampton to keep hold of one of their key players after the club's relegation to the Championship.
It's worth noting that last season Joao Gomes featured in 35 Premier League matches and scored one goal. Transfermarkt currently values the Brazilian midfielder at €40 million.
