Barcelona is trying with all its might to sell its defender, but there are no offers yet

Barcelona's primary transfer targets for the current offseason are Spain national team stars Dani Olmo and Nico Williams. However, the Catalan club's financial situation does not allow them to make these purchases immediately.
Barcelona needs to reduce their wage bill and has identified players they want to offload. One of these is French defender Clément Lenglet. He has a lucrative contract but has not been in the club's plans for the past few seasons.
This is unlikely to change next year, and Barcelona is looking for options to sell the Frenchman. The problem is that there is little interest in Lenglet, except from clubs in Saudi Arabia, but the player does not want to move there.
Lenglet joined Barcelona in 2018 from Sevilla. After four seasons in Catalonia, his playing time diminished, leading to loan spells at Tottenham and, most recently, Aston Villa.
Barcelona intends to sell the player permanently, but in the absence of offers, they will consider loan options. The Catalans might also terminate Lenglet's contract by mutual consent, according to Sport.
This option will be considered later, as Lenglet does not currently wish to leave Barcelona in this manner. The Catalan club has put itself in this difficult position, and finding a solution will not be easy.
