Barcelona have found a new Brazilian star: €100 million demanded for 16-year-old talent
Barcelona are keeping tabs on 16-year-old Palmeiras midfielder Eduardo Conceição, who is currently representing Brazil at the UEFA Friendship Tournament youth competition in Switzerland. According to SPORT, representatives of the Catalan club attended the tournament in Nyon to assess promising players and took notice of the young Brazilian.
Conceição made a bright start to the tournament, scoring in Brazil’s 6-0 thrashing of Canada. Brazil then suffered a 1-3 defeat to Spain but bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Côte d’Ivoire, earning a place in the third-place play-off against Colombia.

However, Barcelona have not yet taken any steps toward a transfer. Conceição has not turned 18, so the Catalan club are only monitoring his progress and assessing his performances against strong opposition.
Interestingly, Palmeiras have already protected their asset by signing the footballer to his first professional contract. The agreement includes a €100 million release clause. Such a figure could seriously complicate a potential move, especially given Barcelona’s financial restrictions.
