Bold prediction: Ibrahimović names his picks to win La Liga, the Champions League and the Ballon d'Or
Zlatan Ibrahimović has identified the leading favorites for the season in European football. In a brief interview with ESPN FC, the former Barcelona striker named the Catalan club as the winner of two of the most prestigious competitions — La Liga and the Champions League.
However, his prediction in the Ballon d'Or race proved even more eye-catching. In the view of the legendary forward, the award should go to Barcelona's current star, Lamine Yamal.
Ibrahimović's choice is particularly intriguing given the 19-year-old's impressive start to the campaign. In his first 10 appearances for club and country, Yamal has scored 11 goals and provided seven assists.

At the same time, the Catalan side are under serious pressure to deliver. Hansi Flick's team are aiming to secure a third consecutive La Liga title, while triumphing in the Champions League could become the young squad's greatest achievement.
Barcelona have looked convincing at the start of the season, while Yamal continues to reinforce his status as one of the leading contenders for the Ballon d'Or. Now Flick's side must live up to the lofty expectations on the pitch.
