Barcelona wants to bring back their youth academy product and has already made the first offer
Despite a limited budget, Barcelona is determined to make an impact in the transfer market. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish giants have already made their first official offer to RB Leipzig for midfielder Dani Olmo.
Reports indicate that the Spaniards have proposed around €60 million, including bonuses. Interestingly, today, July 20, the €60 million release clause in Olmo's contract with Leipzig expires. However, Dani has requested an extension of this clause for a few more weeks.
The player will be offered a six-year contract. Olmo, his agents, and his family will carefully review the proposal before providing a response to both Barcelona and Leipzig.
It is worth noting that Dani was part of Barcelona's system from 2007 to 2014 and has been playing for Leipzig since January 2020. Last season, he scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists in 25 matches.
