Ademola Lookman Makes History as Second Nigerian to Score in Copa del Rey Final

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has etched his name into the record books, becoming only the second Nigerian player to score in a Copa del Rey Final.

The Nigerian international was on target for Atletico Madrid, but it wasn’t enough to secure the trophy, as they suffered a heartbreaking 3–2 defeat on penalties to Real Sociedad on Saturday.

The final, played at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, ended 2–2 after regulation time, setting up a tense penalty shootout where Atletico ultimately fell short.
