English football fans continue to turn the World Cup in the USA into a bona fide “booze tour,” emptying beer reserves at bars and pubs and leaving establishment owners stunned by the unprecedented demand.
According to the Daily Star, in just one bar during England’s 4-2 victory over Croatia, “Three Lions” supporters downed 45,349 pints of beer. Many celebrated by riding a mechanical bull and jumping into the fountain at Texas Live park. Staff admitted they never anticipated such demand, not even during NFL playoff games featuring the Dallas Cowboys.
At the Londoner Pub & Grill in Dallas, patrons drank around 5,000 bottles of beer—worth £30,000—in just three hours. Employees said that equipment and some furniture couldn’t withstand the onslaught, but emphasized it was an honor to host so many English fans. Meanwhile, breweries have had to organize emergency shipments to keep up with the “historic” demand.

Local venues admit they’ve never encountered consumption on this scale. A representative from one pub noted, “We’ve never seen anything like this.” Other bars reported that nearly every beer was sold out, with some brews disappearing in a matter of hours.
