Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has admitted that the Black Stars face a difficult challenge against England in their next 2026 FIFA World Cup fixture, despite opening their campaign with a victory over Panama.

Speaking after his Man of the Match performance against Panama about their upcoming encounter against the Three Lions, Semenyo acknowledged England's quality but stressed that the Black Stars will be aiming for all three points.

“It's going to be a tough game. We don't want to get ahead of ourselves. We want to win that game, but we know it is not going to be easy.” Semenyo said.

Ghana and England are level on three points in Group L following their impressive opening victory against their respective opponents. England secured a 4-2 win over Croatia, meanwhile, the Black Stars claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Panama.
