Manchester United is stepping up its efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season, as the team prepares to compete in the Champions League. Following Casemiro's departure, the club's management has focused on reinforcing the midfield.

According to Sky Italia, Manchester United has set its sights on Como midfielder Martin Baturina. The Croatian made a dazzling impression in the World Cup match against England, finding the back of the net, and continues to draw attention from Europe's top clubs.

The report claims that one club has already tabled a £43 million bid for the 23-year-old, but Como rejected the offer. While the identity of the club behind the bid remains undisclosed, the Red Devils' interest in Baturina is still very much alive. Aston Villa is also reportedly in the race and could provide stiff competition for the English powerhouse.
